I have read alot about what wheels you guys have but just want to know more about performance. I was wondering if you guys could put together a list of pros and cons of big rims (19",18") and smaller rims. What are they gonna do for handling, 0-60, cornering, etc. Thanks alot.

bigger the rim=larger mass to turn. and most the time the bigger they are the more weight they have, so ur 0-60 will go down some. handling, with any larger wheels u will prob get low profile tires, the car will ride a lil rough for a while, but u will get used to it. you can get like 16-17 inch wheels that are lightweight but they will cost ya too. smaller wheels look pretty stupid i think on a max unless ur jus goin for performance. if u gonna get aftermarket wheels for looks i would go ahead and get some 17-18's or 19's depending on wat the wheels look like.

What about Centerline rims? They are big and light, well lighter. Do they make a difference?

lightweight it always good. wat do you mean my large? 19's? i have 17's on mine right now and i used to have some 15" mag wheels that were on the car when i got it instead of the stock stuff. when u put the 2 side by side, they are still the same size over all jus the wheels are a lil bigger

I am looking for the best solution for handling. I understand I will lose alittle 0-60 time, well gain I mean, but will be it be noticable between 17" and 19" rims. The bigger the rim the less tire there will be so this equates to better, rougher, handling I believe. Is that correct?

Dude there is a post on the forum that explains the technology about wheels and tires. I found it interesting. Search for "Suspension Tech Part 1". I have 17" wheels with 225/50/R17 wheels and theu ride nice and the performance is good. You get good performance from the tire size and the tire it self so select a good performance tire. The bigger the rim the smaller the tire to protect the rim. Chrome rims run $1000 - $10000 a set. So any hole you go into is a possible blown tire and bent rim. So Choose wisely! The max is a pretty heavey car it self so if you get like 225/45 or 35 R18 or R19 you need to drive SLOWLY over bumps and put holes.

the wider the wheels, the handling will be better too!

I have 18x8.5" rims on my max. I wasn't really going for performance (ie 0-60) because the wheels are chrome and they are heavy as shit. but they are also pretty wide, and along with the eibach springs they make the car handle pretty well.

19s are proportional to the huge wheel wells.
