Can not shift gears anymore

Hello again,

I have a big problem. I can not get any gear shifted on my 1998 Lumina 3.1.

I thought might be the brake shift interlock or solenoid but it is still clicking when I push the brake padal.

The engine coming soon light is also on since.

Is there maybe a fuse or what else can it be?

What's that?

CEL - check engine light: computer error codes that are stored in the computer, and can be read by use of a code reading device.

OK Thank you, but I can not drive to a garage for checking the codes.

What I just found out: When I touch this (what ever the name of it is) a little bit, there is a kind of joint behind and I shake this little joint, nipple, I can even shift wihout pushing the brake pedal.

(This is right under the steering wheel on the left site)

Any ideas?
