92 454 wont idle

Hello,
I have a 92 1-ton 454 dually. The truck will not stay runnning on it's own when you first start it up. It doesn't matter if it's up to temp. or not. Once you take it down the road and stop at a light, it sits there and idles fine, but when you start it up, it wont idle. No codes come up. I just put plugs, wires, cap rotor etc. and it didn't seem to make a difference. Also checked for vacuum leaks, but couldn't find any.

The truck runs great once you actually drive it, but it just wont idle when you start it up, hot or cold. Any suggestions?

Any fouling on one or more of the plugs when your changed them? An oil leak down the valve guides can coat the plug(s) and cause the rough idle until it is burned off. Also check the intake manifold gasket for coolant leak into the cylinder...same result.

All the plugs looked good. There doesn't seem to be a loss of any fluids, oil or coolant. It does it hot or cold. When you first start it, it won't stay running on it's own, you have to keep your foot on the gas. Once you start driving it and stop at a light, it will idle on it's own. But shut it off and try and start it, it wont idle. Doesn't matter if you wait 5 minutes or an hour.
