Penske Corvette "Track Day Car"

Revell kit - Made into a Track Day Car with still the racing equipment but without the race paint scheme. The engine I left with the chrome to make the car look like a normal car. Please give helpful critisicm because I am only a beginner modeller and will use all the help I recieve!!!

Looks like you're off to a pretty good start. My first rule of modeling is to build for myself first; keep that in mind, as everyone will tell you what you should have done. As your skills grow, you'll want to take on new challenges. There are books and magazines out there to help you improve as you go along.

Thanks for your reply. I get Scale Auto when I can. Can anybody shed some light on my building skills???

Looks pretty good for a beginner. I like the colors chosen. I can't see the finish of the paint on the body very well but it appears to be brush painted. I'd at the least use spray cans for the body and other large areas like the interior and the under carriage.

It also looks like you applied the red on the seats over the black. I would do this in reverse to avoid the bleed through you see. Also you could paint the ends of the exhausts black that are supposed to be open. When you eventually feel comfortable you could drill them out to add more realism.

You probably want to test fit parts like the hood before putting paint on and final assembly so you can make adjustments easier.
It's a nice effort and with time will come experience and they will just get better. Keep building and you'll start to see huge improvements with each build.
