I have a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina 3.1V6. I have had a P00446 (Evap Vent Solenoid Problem).
I have replaced the following parts:
-Evap vent solenoid
-Purge Solenoid
-Gas cap
-Had it smoke tested and smoke was coming out of the evap canister. No smoke in the lines that run from front to back of car. I replaced the evap canister.
After doing all of this I replaced the evap vent solenoid and the gas cap a second time since I have been told these two were the most likely causes.
I can generally get between 50 to 300 miles before the check engine light will come back on.
Any ideas of what my problem could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Look at the gas tank filler neck closely for rust thru holes, I had the same issues on my 98.
