Have you tried rockauto.com?

I did go to Canadian Tire and I also tried to google but no one seems to be selling quick struts for our beloved Intrigues. Reason I want the quick struts is the rear passanger side sits 2 inches lower. If I have to replace the springs seems like a nice solution vs. buying all the pieces. If you guys can point me to a site that would be great.

If you type rockauto.com and intrigue and rear and struts, out comes this:

Yes I did. I always try those guys 1st "NO QUICK STRUTS" It looks like I will have to buy struts springs etc as individual parts. Unless some one could point me to a site. Thanks for trying

So what do you think "READY MOUNT STRUT, COMPLETE ASSEMBLED UNIT" and the significantly higher price means? Re-reading your OPs, it seemed like what you wanted was struts that were completely assembled with springs that were ready to mount. But if you are hung up on "Quick Struts" by Monroe, maybe a visit to Monroe's own website would have told you that the reason people don't sell them is that Monroe doesn't list them for the Intrigue. If you have to have "Quick Struts," I imagine you might be able to make the rears for the Buick Century work. But I wouldn't spend my money on it.

how about gabriels?
http://www.amazon.com/Gabriel-G56924-ReadyMount-Strut-Assembly/dp/B001AMA2UU
http://www.amazon.com/Gabriel-G56925-ReadyMount-Strut-Assembly/dp/B001AMA2VE
Make sure to double check they are the correct one's though. The really strange thing is that the left one is half the price of the right one.

Well, I don't think you are gonna get any cheaper than the only ones that are available.

yes, they're thief. It's better to buy new, it'll last longer. Monroe offer life-time warranty.
if you bough used, it may last 6 months, you don't know.

No, you have to follow along. He wants something he can bolt on without using a spring compressor, and Monroe doesn't make them, and he doesn't want the Delco ones that rockauto sells.

You were pointed to at least 2 "sets" although you do actually have to go in and order "left" and "right" to make that set.
Honestly if you have enough skill/confidence to remove the assembly and put in a new one why not just take it a couple steps further and buy some new springs/shocks separately?
A spring compressor is nothing to fear at all, most auto parts stores will let you rent one. You can completely assemble everything off the car and basically build your own quick struts.

The reason I wanted the Ready-Struts is due to the fact I also need to replace the spring on one side. I thought Buying 2 complete ready struts will be cheaper then buying 2-struts, 2 springs and I may also need 2 strut mounts. In the Toronto area the monroe struts and 2 springs will cost $300 I have seen read struts for Impala for $103 each. Looks like I will have to go with the non ready struts. later

OK, but don't pretend it's an availability issue when it's clear it's a price issue for you (which is ok). Otherwise, you're just misleading those who might read this thread. They might think the $200 a side for the rockauto struts is not unreasonable.

For what it's worth, I can confirm Krivasauto's link to Rockauto...I bought that exact pair (left and right rear) last year for my 2000. I too, wanted replacement springs, so made the decision to buy the complete assemblies. They include the mount up at the top also, so it is a very easy job.

Lol. Read your post here http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=6027884&postcount=8
Sounds like you've been rebuilding yours one part at a time like me. Too bad you haven't taken any pix - we could write a book together.

Last year was a fun summer for maintenance on the trusty Intrigue. I was relaxing from a tearoff-roof job the year before and decided to lay off the house projects and just work on the car. (Back to the house this summer).
But I haven't done nearly what you have, and find all your pics and processes most useful and interesting -- may they long stay available here and at shutterfly for future reference! Thanks for all the good info. I'm hoping to keep the Intrigue running for some years yet. Time will tell...
I'd better spring for a digital camera and start playing...

Even for people like me who don't actually do all the work myself... it helps a lot just knowing where things are and how much the parts are supposed to cost.
