2002 dodge dakota questions just got this truck and wanted to change oil asap. well when i finnally got to doing the oil change i noticed that the oil filler neck along with the the oil cap had a milkshake like film no them. now the 1st thing that entered my mind was head gasket can someone please tell me its something eles other than that. now the truck runs fine and it has never overheated or showed any signs of abnormal behavior other than very loud fan noise witch autozone told me was normal for this vehicle. please someone get back to me on this matter it would be very much appreciated.:screwy:

Do you know if the truck was mainly driven for short trips? Short trips don't allow the engine to warm up enough to burn off condensation so it builds up in the crankcase. That would be one possibility. Another could be a leaking intake gasket allowing antifreeze into the oil. Does it use antifreeze?

That's really common with the filler neck design. If you real curios pull a valve cover and look for sludge build up
