Hi everyone! How's this for April fools? :)

Anyway, here's a little model that I've just deemed completed - a Fiat 500F by GSI Creos. It's sold as a 500D but it quite clearly isn't (due to the way the doors open, for example).

Very very simple kit and an almost OOB build that has taken a million times more time than it should have and does not deserve much text, to be honest. I did replace the wipers with PE from Tameo (1/43 ;)), replaced the gear shifter with a pin and also added a correctish exhaust tip. All the chrome you see is Alclad II. No idea what I used for black paint but the clear is from PPG. I desperately wanted to put something new on the shelf so I've turned a blind eye to the several blemishes and other imperfections :headshake

One tip for anyone building the kit is that the chrome tree is actually molded from clear plastic so you can strip the chrome and paint the clear tail lights and turn signals for a better look, that's what I did.

Overall, though, a fun little kit of one of the best cars in the world (I absolutely love the little Dante Giacosa-created Cinquecento) and I'm reasonably happy with it. Here are some pictures.

And a fun one for effect

Nice, I like it! Very well built and in such a small scale! Whenever I see one I always think of the traffic jam scene in the Italian Job when there were loads of Fiat 500's and 600's!

Thanks!

Although I should probably clarify that only the wipers are 1/43, the rest of the model is 1/24 but small enough for 1/43 wipers :)

Oh, I assumed (wrongly) because 1:43 scale wipers look correct on it that the model was 1:43 scale, must be because the Fiat 500 is so small! Still great work anyway!

If you added an actual background on the last picture, you could fool people as being a real 1:1 model.
