the other day; i left work and i came to a stop light and it died. i start the truck up again and i put it in into drive and it would die. 15 min later i was able to get it into gear w/o dying. got home and hear a lil knocking type noise from motor. it only did for about 5 mins and stop.
today; i put seafoam and trans tune in it to see if it would help. after that it ran good. i drove to work with tps unplugged (10 min drive) and it ran good, but as soon as i pulled up to park it it died. i tried to start truck with tps plugged in but it wouldnt start. i unplugged it and it took about 3 mins for it to get fire. i got about 5 mins down the road and the truck didnt die ( i still had power steering but i had no gas ( i was hitting the gas but it was doing nothing ). i pulled off and i plugged the tps in and when i got it running i drove foward a lil but and put it in reverse it died. i restarted truck and it ran a lil better. i did notice that there is a new whining noise coming from under the truck now while i have the truck in gear. it still shifts fine and everything. its not leaking no fluid and its full of tranny fluid.
anybody think that the dying in gear from a bad tps?

The idle air control valve(IAC) controls idle air to the engine. Sometimes they get clogged/sludged up and stick in open or closed position. Sounds like yours is stuck closed. Remove it and clean it with brake cleaner. Spray some cleaner inside the hole where the IAC fits, re-assemble then test ride.
