super nice! I have this kit somewhere. Had to buy it again after I botched the first one. I see some texture on them valve covers, care to elaborate?

Fantastic result, looks superb! What an awesome race series Can Am was! I have this kit too and am impressed by the quality especially considering it's age. Good to see that such an impressive finish is possible. Are there any issues that you came across that we need to be aware of?

Nice work, looks great. I think there may have been one of those at a recent McLaren memorial race day that i went to, beautiful & fast those CanAm cars are!!

I am very grateful for the presence and comments.
The texture of the valve covers is a feature of the kit.
The tires that come with the latest reissue are pretty bad an I used some kept from another kit that I built in the early 70s.

Absolutely superb. I have one of these to do and it's really encouraging to see how good it can be made to look (with your skill!). I see you kept the 2 x body halves together, where the instructions say to separate them. It seems a good idea to keep them together to me to get the best panel fit and you show that you can still remove as on one piece to reveal the chassis.

This is very nice. Denny Hulme would be proud of it.The roll bar is the Dan Gurney version and not Denny's.
