Cranks but won't start

My 2001 Cavalier cranks but won't start, but when I have someone push me and pop the clutch it fires right up. Any ideas with what's going on?

Maybe it's an rpm issue? If it cranks good, but, won't start, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. Spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. You know, check the basics.
