Saw some guy in a "Porsche" In town..

Actually it was a Toyota MR2 Spyder, but the guy had a Porsche emblem on the front. I guess so people might think it was a Boxster.

I think MR2 Spyders look just new enough to fool a lot of people into thinking it would be a Porsche.

He was a tosser for real though, had his stereo cranked up impossibly loud at the lights, playing some techno crap. Wish I had a picture actually MattyG was not impressed at all. :rolleyes:

I'll bet he was young! Because whenever I see some guy in a Boxster, its always an old dude driving it and he's got a big'ol bald spot. I always tempted to drag him out by his ears aand take his car.

Ok, kaoru-tochiro, I'm 48 and probably an old guy to you, but not bald. If you try to hijack my car then you would be looking at elsie- my black nine millimeter before you took one more step trying to steal my car.

Bad day?

1.) Not everyone who drives a Boxster / 996 / whatever Porsche or any other sports car is a middle aged guy looking for attention. I am 26, have a full head of hair and occasionally resent the fact that people stare / touch / drool over my car.

2.) The Toyota is a piece of crap that was deliberately designed to look like a Boxster. In reality, it is a crude reinterpretation of the overall shape, but from a 1/4 mile away, it looks like a Boxster. Toyota has the audacity to advertise its midmounted roadster as "race inspired." Is this a nice way of saying we stole the idea from Porsche (550, 914, 986...)

I own a boxster an couldnt believe it when some jerk in a mr2 spider pulled up and tried to burn me off. LOL i put my foot down and give him a lesson but the cheek of it? It is a dam clone of a boxster how did they get away with it i will never know, I passed one in the county and he waved LOL whats happening....

i'm 23 and i own a boxster S...and i'm not bald...and my two best friends also own boxsters (S) and they are 22 and 24...

I own a boxster, im 24.. young and hair... nothing better than cruising around in a black boxster on a hot summers day.. To me.. a boxster is a young lads car... even at 48.., thats still young... it when people that drive boxsters that are 60.. get my back up with the roof up and a hot day!!!

I want to get a boxster, but I am pushing 30 soon and I got $2000 in the bank... Guess I won't need that hairpiece...

23 here with a Boxster, where I live the Boxster is a rare car and always stored in the winter for atleast 8 months. I drive mine in the winter I don't care :)

Wow, it's awesome to see a few other 20-something people owning Boxsters. I'm 27 -- it inspires me because if you guys can do it, so can I. Hey, how's the insurance cost for the Boxster/Boxster S?
