'96 maxima driver door won't open

Hello, have 1996 maxima driver door is stuck shut, I have a slim jim but nothing working any help much appreciated.

Happens 'once in a lifetime'... u have to dissassemble the door panel to access the jammed lock /handle mechanism from inside. Might need to take the front seats out first? Or just break the panel and later find a new one from JY.

My mechanic said he opened the door thru the top of the door. How I do not know, he replaced the door latch and took out the remote door lock mechanism (the part would be a little pricey he said). Total price was $275. I hate when this guy is secretive about how he did get the door open but at least I can use the door now.

You have a good mech. The door frame bends, and if u know where to aim, the lock latch can be pressed/moved with a long/tool/pipe. And after the door is open, taking out panel is easy task. (u may open the other door panel and practice)

Just be happy, reasonable price. I'd had to have to beak the panel :(
