Tamiya Evo Extreme progress

Finally I am finding a bit of time to make progress on all my kits!
Very enthusiastic right now, thanks to the wonderful progress Steve keeps making and the inspiration I get from you guys!

Here's what's on the desk right now...

I finished mating the Fujimi Extreme bumper onto the Tamiya Evo 6 item, much widening and shaping required, but I'm very happy with how it looks! The side skirts are also ready for paint now. Fortunately the rear bumper is the same for both versions.
Suspension is in place, but the brakes and hubs need modifying to take the Fujimi wheels. I'm going to use the big brakes pictured on the front, as they are ready to take the Fujimi wheels, they'll be attatched onto the hub as the offset is right. Slowly polishing the body, no hurry as everything else needs to catch up.
Gonna start on the interior tomorrow! Anyone have pics of an Extreme's interior?

Looking very nice, are you putting on Fujimi Workmesiter (SP) 18" wheels.
The "eXtreme" is also called the "Zero Fighter" if you are doing a web search

As far as I can tell from my books The interior is to Quote :
"The eXtreme boasts an increased competition element with four point harness for driver and front passenger in addaition to the 3 point ELR seatbelts. A three spoke Momo stearing wheel and aluminium pedal extension kit. and carbon fibre effect instrument surround complete the race look" (It has Recaro Race seats in Black)

Really cool idea, and if the execution of this idea will be done Guiddy-style, we're up to some treats!

Thanks for two great photos Steve. I'll add them to the library!
The interior is a pain, even in your two photos those seats are different!
I'll use the Tamiya seats as they are nicely detailed. The fujimi instructions say paint them blue/grey but I'm not sure!
I know the steering wheel is the same, and I have pics of the carbon fibre bits!

Yeah RyanGiorgio, the Fujimi kit comes with the Workmeister wheels, a work of art! Great decals too! A good base for the Extreme parts, but I wanted to do the real car justice which meant using the Tamiya bodyshell! Should be done soon! Keep you all posted!

Warren, nice to be back mate! :D

Just a small update.
The bumpers have been sprayed silver, Renault Silver Grey was used and is a good match to photos IMO!
Still unsure about the interior! Will blue match the colour scheme of the outside do you think?
I'm partial to the idea of making some Bride seats in red and a set of harnesses for the front seats?

You are brave, spraying color with the decals already on! :O

I like the idea of red :)
