The Track Edition is the best real Z car, and when it comes to the model, there isn't much difference.
The Track Edition model has the small lip spoiler, the body has a place to open a hole to mount the spoiler, and there's a small chin spoiler added to the front end. The mirrors are slightly different. The wheels are different on a real Track Edition Z, but Tamiya didn't make that change to the kit. The wheel spokes should be a bit narrower, and have some small squares embossed in the face of each spoke.
So if you want a stock Z car model, and like the spoiler, the Track Edition is best. If you want to customize and add a different spoiler, or no spoiler, it really doesn't matter which one you start with.

You can hardly say one is better than the other, the differences are so minor it was hardly worth Tamiya's effort. If you're going to pick one though, then go with the track for the sake of getting the rear spoiler.

Mirrors Different ???????????
The wheels with the squares are Rays Forged alloys an opional extra I think.

The real track rims don't come with the kit. Too bad they did'nt. As for differences, just the wing and mirrors are different, and the spoiler for underneath the front bumper comes with it too i think. Correct me if Im wrong.

I believe 350Z was discontinued, replaced by the Track.
The Track accurately represents the production version of the Fairlady Z (JDM), but some works areneeded to be the 350Z Track.
Rays 18 inch is optional on both market segments, (not sure about Europe) and Tamiya could have put an extra wheel, like the 2nd R34 kit.
The Track has an accurate passenger seat, and I believe the shifter is also changed, as well as the mirrors, front lip spoiler and rear spoiler, mentioned already.

Did Tamiya put a LHD in either kit? I know that's part of the reason they switched out the S2000 kits...

Im working on the SAS conversion for this car and used the track version as the donor car and it has LHD option, mirrors are the same as I already have the original, the only extra realy is the rear lip spoiler
