Hi Guys

As you can see I bit the bullet and brought a computer (all donations gratefully accepted - only joking).
As this is my first thread I hope it works ok - all this technology is scary.
The Supras about 70% finished - it uses the body kit from the Aoshima Veilside Combat Skyline and SAS hood.

My thanks to FOTW for posting my pictures and for your feedback

Cheers

Andy

Well this has got to be a first! So far AF has been responsible for damaging many people wallets by buying more models than they can build. But now its got people going out and buying computers and digital cameras too:eek: :D :D :D

Glad you decided to join us Andy;) I've said it before, that's an excellent conversion, very well executed and original.

I haven't got many photos on file at the moment - this is probably the first tuner I built - it's got a GTR front end and side skirts from an old Lexus kit that I had lying about - haven't decided on wheels yet hence the different wheels
The paoints supposed to be purple metalflake but you have to look close !When I finish the things I've got on the go at the moment I'll post 'em

How did you do the head lights on the supra? BMF or chrome spray?

Hi Andy
Nice to see someone else from the UK coming aboard.
The Supra is going to awesome when finished,
You will get used to the next question but.........what are those wheels?

flylwsi
04-29-2003, 05:46 PM
the supra looks awesome...

i'm nit picky though, and i noticed that the rims are awefully deep for the car not having a widebody kit, especially the front...

it's minor, but something i noticed...

other than that, it looks awesome...

tonioseven
04-29-2003, 05:47 PM
Those wheels are Aoshima VIP 18" wheels but I forget the name...:(

I used Alclad chrome - you need to paint first with gloss black enamel and then spary a couple of light coats of the chrome thru an airbrush - don't spray too heavy or it comes out kinda dull - if it does don't worry just spray it gloss black and start again.

Cheers

They're Aoshima rims but I can't remember what they're called.

To make them a larger diameter I used 19 inch Vienna Kriess (or any 19 inch with seperate trim ring) as follows:-

1/ Remove outer chrome trim ring
2/ Remove the front of wheel which will leave you with a sleeve.
3/ Sand the inside of the sleeve until the smaller wheel fits inside it
4/ Replace chrome trim ring

Hopre this makes sense

Thanks for all your comments - a couple of you asked about the rims -I'm sorry it's taken a while to reply but I brought them a while back from HJL and couldn't find them on the website.
However via the gift of their wonderful new system I have good and bad news.
They are AOS29169 - St.Louis Bright but they're out of production
