Well I just ook hold of a Revell '99 Chevy Silverado which I'm going to be customizing. This is my first attempt to actually put time and effort into a model to make it look nice. Now I have some questions/opinions that I would like to ask(and yes I will be using the FAQ sheets.
First question:
Which Tamiya color black should I use;Matt Black, Black, Semi Gloss Black, Metallic Black? Which one will give me the best shine in the end? Secondly:
Everyone seems to like Tamiya paints the best, which is why I will be using it, but is testors perfectly fine for the interior?
Third:
Is it necessary to primer everything? And for the interior should i use flat black or satin black?
4th question:
What is everyones overall opinion on glue? I use to use the tube stuff and could use it with out making a mess.
Last question:
Should I use an airbrush or will the can be just fine?
Sorry for all of these (annoying)questions. I appreciate any and all help to my questions. Thanks!:)

Well, Tamiya black is the gloss black.....lots of shine
Metallic black is gloss
Semi-gloss is just that.....semi-gloss = some shine
Matt black is just that...matt = no shine
The best shine in the end will be achieved by polishing and waxing the model, using the method Warren outlines and I believe is covered in the FAQ
BTW, most of your questions are in the FAQ

1st. What are you using the colors on?
2nd. Yeah, I use mostly Tamiya but I still work in some Testors becuase they do make some useful colors.
3rd. I almost prime everything that I spray. This isnt neccisary for parts you will be hand painting.
4th. I use super glue but would like to try some Milfix that PMan posted about.
5th. I use cans and get a perfectly fine finish. Thats all about personal preffurence.

1. Tamiya TS-14 Black
2. Testors is fine for the interior.
3. At least primer the body; I primer everything but that's just me. A combination of Matt Black and Semi-gloss Black will give more realistic results.
4. I use Testors in the little glass bottle, Testors in the triangular needle-nosed container and occasionally Super-glue gel.
Hope these were of any help!:)

...and use plain white water-based glue for clear parts. Model cement and super glue will fog up clear parts.

1.) I would go with the Semi-Gloss Black.
2.) Testors would be fine for the interior.
3.) I would flat black for the interior, satin kind of makes it look like plastic.
4.) Tube glue and the white glue for clear parts like windows, head lights etc.
5.) Can will be fine as long as you keep a distance of atleast 15 inches from the item you spray and do it in light coats every thirty minutes to avoid orange peel.
Is this the kit with the skidoo and trailer.?

Why
That would not give a gloss finish......
15 inches is a loooong way to be spraying from.....more potential of orange peel from that kind of distance....
