Lets take it into the shop and have them customize a set of pinto headlights onto it......... parts are parts ..... or are they LOL?

I could not care less what you do to your Ferrari, Ford, Nissan, Honda, etc..

I just don't like how they use our stuff, u don't see us using honda headlights or tail lights.....actually I have seen one RICED OUT POS S13 convertible with what appered to be Integra altezza tail lights driving down the road one day........ I almost puked.

I also don't believe in swapping engines from other cars....

if u want a nissan get a nissan, if u want a honda get a honda.... it isn't too hard to figure out.

If you like the looks of a S14 front end.....get the S14 jeez lol.

People will spend 20k on a honda to make it look like a silvia and still be slow... you coulda taken that 20k.... had the actual silvia and be VERY fast.

jay - while what you said is right, we are really free to feel as we please about our cars and about ricers using their precious parts on their gayed-up NOS mobiles. i know that if i ever saw an Integra with Kouki tails on it, i'd run up, smash all the windows, and steal the lights off of it. and keep in mind i'm not a violent guy, so you can see just how angry i would be. i'd probably do the same thing if i saw some guy with a 240SX that put lights from a different, non-Nissan car on his. Preludes with R32 tailights, EVERYTHING (non-nissan) with S15 lights and Civics with S14 front ends are already WAY crossing the line. the Kouki lights would be the last straw. i mean, if your car can't look good enough as is and has to rely on the good-looking parts from OTHER, WAY BETTER cars to make it look better, that's gotta say something about that car, eh? that's just my opinion, i know it may be pretty harsh and kinda dumb, but hey, that's how passionate i am about the cars i like and how passionatley i dislike ricers. that's how i think, and nothin's gonna change that.

I know I'm still young and my first car is the 240sx I have,but I know what's up.

No rice 240 here.

Man,KS is kinda boring.Street races here are ok.Nothin much really to do,ppl mostly just get fucked up every weekend.
Honda is king here,hard to get 240 performance parts cuz nobody has them instock,must special order shit...Civics are WAY played out especially hatchbacks.
There is one Si though with a fully built GSR motor boosted to somewhere in the neighborhood of 17psi.Has a nice giant FMI.
For some odd reason it lost to an auto firebird though:confused:

Yes especially when when you have to cut the front bumper a few inches cuz the stock sized opening isnt enough to let air pass to the intercooler.

I was JUST going to say that. The blue light emitted by the sun is the first to disperse, that is why the sky appears blue. That is why the sun is yellow, yellow does not disperse as easily. Same concept applies to bulbs, and why blue bulbs SUCK (and as a side-note, yellow bulbs RULE).

Obviously, some of us dont agree with you. Parts ARE parts, but why is it people dont use FORD parts? Its quite obvious some people are more interested with how their car looks on PAPER or when its PARKED, than how it performs. Trendy people LOVE saying "those are SILVIA headlights" because then they get to run their mouths when average people dont even know what a Silvia is. Trendy people love writing all the specs and brands they have on their cars, stickering it out, but never take the time to test their car and see if these "upgrades" are truly UPGRADES. They just assume that because its being sold in the aftermarket, it MUST be better.

I can agree with you on one thing, there is NO excuse for poor execution. Unfortunately, a very high percentage of the show cars I've seen are tastelessly modified.

The problem is that the 240SX is not and has never been a popular car. The problem is that the majority of the public has talked a lot of shit about the 240SX in the past years. I've heard so many magazines call it a "quirky handling RWD car with a truck motor." Now, all of a sudden there is a boom and everyone thinks they can drift.. let alone know what drifting is. All of a sudden people start using Japanese terms as if its second nature. All of a sudden they read a few articles in shit-rag magazines and want to copy.

If you've been a part of the 240SX community for over 6 years, you'de know this. Our first meet consisted of like 10-20 cars, now our meets have to be held in large areas because of all the hype. I dont mind seeing MORE 240SX owners and MORE attention to our cars. What I dislike is trend and people who hop on the band-wagon.

I used to go to the meets and meet nice friendly people. Now there are so many faces and people dont care to meet the OWNERS of the cars, they'de rather criticise the car and its appearance. Many of us drive old 240SX's for a reason, we're not the richest folks. But dont be amazed when us veteran 240SX owners talk shit and boot ignorant fools for wanting to be "hip" with our parts, cars, and style.
