I just bought an 87 Iroc-z last summer with a 350 tpi, it was stock rather then a shift kit. Over the off season here I, had it rebuilt, 355, zz4 cam, new high flow heads, roller rockers, edelbrock intake, I pretty much changed every thing but the runners, throttle body and MAF sensor. I am hoping to be making 320-335 horsies. What do u guys think are my chances vs a new Trans-Am ram air and all that crap?? What do u guys recommend to do with the MAF sensor....besides cut the screeens out..should i try cut the heat sinks off myself or send it in somewhere??

Yea, Against a stock ws6, i have headers...i think 2 and 3/4 exhaust and a flowmaster. Stall converter is stock as well as suspension adn 245 tires, but thinking to jump to 295 for fun. The heads flow better then vortech heads so i should be in the running.

you should do real good against them! i put a 94 lt-1 in my 85 z-28 and ran 13.8 et 1/4. this was before headers. after i put the headers on, this car is a lot faster now!! the moter is pretty stock, so your 355 should easy do 13 flat

the NEWEST WS6 T/A's are pretty wicked. Your motor sounds like it can probaly produce around 300 hp, but what about your tires, suspension, or stall convertor?

And what kind of WS6 were you thinking about running against? A showroom stock one or one wiht a few bolt ons? If you had stock suspension and stall convertor, I'd say a bone stock WS6 with a 6 speed and a decent driver would pull you just a tiny bit.
