spoon fan switch

I got a 160 thermostat from (jackson)My problem is that the fan switch dosen't kick in till 205f or later.So I was wondering if I could use a spoon or mugen fan switch that opens at an early time(well early than 205).I have a D16z engine. If it dosen't work can you tell me why?

i have seen the spoon ones but the only on i saw was 90 degrees f
