Old Recall Nissan forgot to tell

I brought my 2002 Maxima SE in friday for Hesitation on acceleration service including a new mass air flow sensor and Computer reprogram.
I was informed that a suspension recall applied to my car and they would do this also. When I went to pick up the car, they said the reprograming failed and they didn't have time to align the car. They want me to return tuesday and said alignment is not critical!
I bought the car from them August 2002 and had them change the oil once. The recall was issued June 2002 before I bought the new car.
Guess next time I buy a car I have to reseach bulletons and insist service verify my car is safe to drive.
Thanks Tustin Nissan, CA

Have them fix the car and give you a rental in the mean time.
