What's wrong with maisto? Why does everyone hate maisto? There earlier releases weren't that good but their recent ones were fantastic.

i only have experience of maisto and bburago, so i cant really comment about the others.
but out of bburago and maisto... well its tough. the bburago's generally tend to be more accurate proportionally, where as the maisto's can be a bit dodgy (jag xj220 and alfa spider spring to mind). only problem with bburago is that decals can be crap and quite a few details can be missing. they have got better lately, but not as detailed as maisto are now. my personal oppinion is that, for the price, maisto and bburago aint that bad. besides, the only ut's i saw seemed to be a bit badly made. they just didnt seem as ''solid'' as the others. maybe i only saw the only bad one they made, i dunno...

I get my maisto and buragos for $5 at K-Bee Toys. If the didn't make Buragos or Maistos I would not collect model cars.

I have a little bit of everything you have listed there and I would also put Exoto at the top of the list.
IMO Kyosho would be 3rd and Autoart would be 4th because Kyosho seems to put a bit more detail into their models. Just about everything opens on my Kyosho models and the paint work in incredible. :)
Autoart seem to have fewer opening parts and the doors on my Diablos and Murcielago don't stay open without propping them up and fewer opening parts compared to my Kyosho Countaches.
One other thing, I have a few Hotwheel Ferraris and they are really not that bad. I would also place them higher on the list, definetly above Anson.

I also looked at the prices. You see I bought the Lambo Miura from Anson for only $ 12,50. And Hotwheels models cost new about twice that much. Maisto makes supercool models, sometimes they make even better then UT. But some cars from the Maisto Special Edition and Silver edition are the worst there are. Like the Chevy Corvettes, Viper GT2, Diablo SV, BMW 325i Conv., Jaguar XK8, Mustang Mach III, Porsche Boxster (WITH THAT AWFULL WHITE STEER AND RED INTERIOR), Jag XJ220 and M-B 500SL. For example, look at the Lambo Gallardo. I know why it's done so bad. They had to be the first having a Gallardo, so they needed to design it quickly, maybe thats why some others of their models look bad as well.

I personally like maisto more than hotwheels simply bcs of one thing: the suspension. Over all maisto, hot wheels, and bburago are pretty even in terms of detail. Maisto seems to be improving the most with bburago a close second while hot wheels is still making the same quality it made 10 yrs ago. I think the main problem with these companies is that they try to put things out too fast. This happened with the Caddy Cien. It was put out real fast and it looks trashy. Same with the Gallardo. They simply need more time to release the models. Its foolish to think that we are going to get a great model after just a few months work. I am buying the maisto gallardo now so I can enjoy it but once autoart brings that sucker onto the market i'm grabbin one. I'll just be able to mess with the suspension later :)
