i know this is an age old topic for us but i need some help.....here are my symptons......

-smoke comes out of exhaust at idle
-lot-o-smoke at low revs
-oil coming from distributor leaking on tranny
-oil on spark plugs
-oil pan leaking??
-refill oil every month

any help would be appreciated......i looked @ www.4thgenerationcivic.com for the oil pan and i think new gaskets will help for the spark plugs

sounds like you need a valve cover gasket ,oil pan gasket ,maybe a distributor o ring, new piston rings.

Your head gasket may be going. Do you feel a power loss? It is also possible your piston rings are starting to go. Smoke out the tail pipe can come from that. Bummer that it is causing such a problem. :(

you definatly have some major problems, with those symptoms, id say:

stuck or bent exhuast valve, bad dizzy seal and or cam seal, possible head gasket leak, pistons rings.

pistons rings are not a job for a beginner to do, it requires taking the entire engine apart, and quite possible out of the car.

hope all turns out well.

sounds like a good excuse for a d16z6

also remember, white smoke is water/antifreeze, oil is blueish, and way too much fuel is black

Sounds like you need a rebuild, a rebuild kit from honda will have all you need, get a ring kit and oil pan gasket also...
