Did you reinforce the interior roof with styrene strips?

Nice progress; please post some piccies on the progress , I very interested in this model!

And i do agree, the doorhandles in the middle door should be removed IMO.

did the benz ever released a car with a major door disalignment? look closer, the quality etc.
And whats the point of having 6 doors anyway? lol unless you get an extra seat across the car. :flash:

I think the pic may be legitimate, if you look through the cars windows you can see the same shaped windows in the coresponding doors on the far side, ie the middle ones

Neat idea, looks like you've gotten a good start. That one photo looks photochopped though. Notice it's also the new E Class-wonder if Fujimi will do the new E55 AMG?

In the US, limos w/six or eight doors like that are generally for funerals; the stretch limos for "fun" times never have more than the four original doors, and are stretched a lot more than those Mercedes. So many of them now are SUV's. The new Hummer looks pretty cool as a stretch limo! The new Beetle...ugh. Stupidest stretch limo I've ever seen!:bloated:

W:eek:W!! That is awesome.

I was gonna say I have seen some Benz limos with the three doors on each side, and try to get pics, but it looks like you've got enough proof ;)
You're doing just fine :flash: Can't wait to see more pics!!

Looking great so far! What about wheels or any other modifications like that? Hope to see it done, and not shelved. I'd get rid of that middle door handle if I was making a limo, more class with only 4 doors I think, then you can have the bar and stretch seats down the sides, but that would require hard work.

The different parts of body seem to fit perfectly.
Did you knew it or did you test different Mercs to fit?

Jonno

Very good idea! The interior should be a challenge, as I see you have the body sorted :p

I remember a while back, somebody was turning a couple of Chevy Impala's into limo's, I would search for a link, but I believe the search function isn't working very well...

Schweet !

What did you cut the body with ?

Is t exacto or even a saw ?

I think the 6 doors looks ugly.Four doors are better.Plus you can put a fridge, champagne bottle, etc....Like this

The purpose of six doors is mainly as funeral transport for the family of the deceased or for presidential/heads of state functions. That's nothing new, an old buddy of mine had a 1981 Caddy 6 door limo. Sure they're not as pretty as the four doors but everything serves a purpose.

I hope to see this finished as I have shelved my 1995 Cadillac limo due to time constraints. It's also my first resin kit and I don't want to make any mistakes with it. Good luck.
