Whats with the crazy Mustangs?

Why is it every Fri. night I go out some crazy fool in a Mustang tries to race me? I have white racing rims and exhaust on the out side, and as of last week a CF hood. Does this mean I am a racing target? It's always the stupid cocky people in there 6cyl Mustangs. Needless to say they always get tor up, but still. Does anyone else have this problem? You figured they would find out they couldn't beat a Civic, but they still always try. :frog:

The younger less experienced car will always challenge the leader of the pack for his own chance to rule the pack.. in this case, its the young and less experienced mustang, challenging the leader of the pack , the civic, for total domination and in some cases the females. Usually you will see the mustang, come up along side the civic, growling.. like a .. well, like a motor.. a motor of some sort,, this signifies he wants to challenge the civic, the civic iether denies, by going off in different direction.. ( or rollin up windowss :rolleyes: ) but if the civic should decide to accept the "challenge" he too will growl like a motor.. For leadership, they will race, its always the fastest in the pack who will be the new leader.. in this case , the silly mustang will always keep trying, with no avail.. so its plain common sense, the civic will always be leader of the pack.

just mod ur car engine more, then drive around real slow until one of these mustangs roll up, then blow the doors off em.

What I love most is that the Mustang GT only makes 177hp at the wheels from a V8. (Saw it on some car show on TNN, "Horsepower TV" I think where they dyno'd one before doing some basic power adders.) They also weigh a lot too, so I love showing them that their mustang GT isn't much faster than a 91 LX with less than 100hp.

God the "box style" mustangs around here are like a disease. I cant wait till I get the turbo on and going and then its off to 5. 0shit I just annihilated that guy......Then I start on the looks of my car....

i dont have ne probs with mustangs right now (mainly cuz the cars not on the road hehe) but i've been challenged by Volkswagens and Audi's :rolleyes: and yes, there my brothers friends who challenge me, VR6 Jetta, Audi A4 with aftermarket turbo (blown tranny right now :D) already beat one guy in an 8 Valve Auto Jetta, lowered and has a Wing, silver paint and flat black hood and trunk :rolleyes: nothin special yet i smoked him hehe, and that was like the first week or 2 i had my car :D
then I smoked the kid in his Vette! ......Che....vette hehe :D he actually thought it was faster then his jetta.... guess he was wrong cuz i beat him worse lol :)

EZ way to get mustangs/camaros/cavaliers/et al to stop revving on you: remove all the aftermarket stuff (or Rice as the case *may* be) from your car. Here's what goes through the V6/4cyl mustang driver's head: "I'm gonna show this stupid ricer how slow his plastic covered car is with my slow-@ss POS V6/4cyl mustang..." Proceeds to post to the "Kill" section of his favorite website.

If you like the 'show', at least put some 'go' under the hood...

Then, when you dust them the mustang driver is thinking or saying, "Um, my car isn't running right tonight; Um, I wasn't paying attention; Uh, wait til I get my supercharger. Blah blah blah."

In reality, you should ignore anyone who revs on the streets: it's dangerous AND it could be Law Enforcement looking for an easy $300 ticket...

well talkin about mustangs...yesterday my friends and i went to manhattan beach to meet up with some other friends and on the way over there guess who challenged my friends integra....yes u got it a mustang...guess wat also happen....he got SMOKED by my friends b16 :hehehe: then he followed us all the way until we meet up with our friends and pulled up to my friend sayin if he had a gsr & my friend just played dumb like "uuhhhh no" man the guy in the stang was pissed an import beat him....dats wat he gets...all i gotta say is :flipa: mustangs that pick on imports

I don't own a honda but all my friends do/want one.One of my homeboys has a 94 prelude vtec and another friend of mine has a mustang gt.They raced and the mustang made him look kind of dumb BUT this was when the 'lude was still stock.Now the prelude has DC headers,intake,APEXi N1 catback and VTEC controller,and MSD ignition.They want to race again now.This time it outta be good...

You want to hear a mustang vs. honda story here's a good one:
A guy I went to highschool with had a Mustang GT with all Cobra parts swapped in...he raced a guy with a turbo vtec prelude and got smoked...went home, told his dad he lost to a honda, and his dad gave wrote him a check for $3000 to get more shit for his car cause he lost to an import....hows that for a spoiled little bitch of a kid

that's how it was where i grew up. the average car at my high school cost at least 20 grand. my honda cost me 4000... one kid drove an SVT Cobra with NOS and cheater slicks... stupid fast. there was a dope ass 69 chevelle though with a 454... that was probably the second fastest compared to the cobra when the nos was on.

I live in columbus, ohio and there is this dumb neon green 2000ish mustang....its got like those dumbass clear import aftermarket tailights and a big aluminum wing. its so riced out. he pulled up next to me in my 93 vtec prelude (because my 91 civic hb is in the garage being updated to this centuries hp ratings [who was thinking of 92hp in a hatch? they should be shot] :p ) anyways he always revs on me and i beat him everytime.

this week at a light he pulled up and said i just got an intake....now you've had it. I was like dude sell you car and get something that fits your character....like a vw bug.

off i went smoking him into the rearview :)

lol, we dont get mustangs here so it aint much of a problem, its usually 17 year olds in there 1.1 fiesta or 1.2 Vauxhall Novas which are the problem:rolleyes:

i had a funny thing happen today....

i'm pulling out of walmart making a left when i notice a white mustang making a right into the same parking lot. i get up the street and make a left at the (first) light. i have a crazy habbit of checking my rear view often. i get maybe a block up the street and i check the rear view.....just as i do i see the same mustang hauling ass around the corner. here is where it gets funny, he looses his back end and gets sideways into the next lane.

lucky for him it was 8-9a.m. and no traffic out. he was on a mission to catch me and i saw he continued to speed up so i sped up and chilled just 1/2 a car ahead of the car next to me. he got stuck behind that car. so i got some more laughs.

there are 2 mustang's that look pretty similiar. i don't know them apart. however, i do know one of the owners is an ass towards me. likes to say things like "lets race so i can see how badly you lose" :rolleyes: i sure hope it was him....

i did exactly that last night and the guy got so pissed off cause he lost to my hatch, it was probably a humbling moment for him considering his friends were laughing at him :loser: and they're never gonna let him live down the night he got spanked up by an engine half his size. shit my lil brother has a 5.0 with i/h/e and my one of my closest friends has a 68 mustang w/a 302 in it and basic mods and neither wanna race the hatch cause both said they would be too mad if they lost.

if you're so knowledgable then go where you can spread useful info...your comments in this forum so far have been pretty close to useless in dust collecting threads. being a Toyota, Ford, & AMC owner i'm sure you can find other forums around af to post in

My 4th gen has never lost to a Mustang... 'coz we don't get any here in South Africa.

Well, some, imported, but the owners drive them like baby carriages. We have a hard time with the BMW and Golf GTI/VR6 owners, thinking their euro's are tit...

Mind you, some of them have handed me my ass in the past. But only the well modded ones... :grinno:
