What to do with this?

Greetings to all.

Just wondering what will you do when you get this! :

This one hit me badly at the lower body.

Though I have sanded and I'll try painting the body again tomorrow..
Still, I would like to hear how you people solve this~

I've had something similar to that before, and the conclusion I came to was I needed to spray for half a second away from the model before spraying the model, just to clear the nozzel out. Mind you, what I had wasn't as bad as that, so I'm not really too sure :rolleyes:.

i would also sugest that you make sure that the body is clean and free of grease. it might help...maybe:confused:

can't really tell from the pics but you could try some wet sanding, then compound it...

I'm had a little problem like yours before. What I do is to sand those blops of paint away then respray it.

One problem I say might be because you sprayed too close to it.
Another might be you sprayed too thick at that area.

i will use normal masking tape to "stick" some paint away...
then respray that area again...

Sorry Forhod, me no expert but if it was mine, I'll probably try to slice away those lumps if the paint already harden and sandpaper it down too to lvl.

Did those blobs come out of a rattlecan?
If so I think you'd better start by tossing it and geting a new one!
Have alook in the FAQ, PMan has a manifesto on rattlecans, including preparation, that might avoid such carnage in the future.

Agree with the others - wait till the paint has fully cured, then sand and have another go.

Well.. I personally feel that white is one of the colour which is hard to work with. Oh yeah.. I use Tamiya Spray Can :)

Guess I have to brush up on my spraying skills!~
And I read Pman's FAQ on spraying, put I skip the part where you leave a day to dry after " bathing " the car.

Now, the body is sanded down and I'll start trying again when the sun rises.. :D

Hmm.. Maybe isit you did not shake well for your spray can??? Or the paint is finishing???:confused: If i were you, i will sand it away and respray it again:eek:

Are those paint bubbles? Then you probably sprayed too thick too fast!

This :thumbup: will save you a lot of future headaches! This is probably what caused it along with a few other posibilities, practice practice, practice!!!! that will be you best solution.:D

yea, also, just wash the model off before you spray, that will save you a lot of head aches, wash your hands too before you spray,

is paint bubble. Spray too thick and cause the air bubble on the kit. It only happen on Tamiya can spray. So next time, spray thin layer by layer.:smoker2:
