i took a guard off that was inside of my projector housing, and now they are way way brighter. i like it alot, but im worries that ill get pulled over. theyre almost blinding, like glare from the lows were out shining highbeams. the piece i took out is impossible to put back in. so to cut down the light im going to tint the entire headlight housing. whatever color i decide on, im going to do the heads and the bumper lights, so it will match. should i do it black or blue? i like the color of the blue tint, ive had it before so i know i like the look at night. but during the day, im not so sure i want blue housings.
whatcha'll think?

yea, i think im going with black, for daytime appearance.
i was wondering, does anyone know if you can get in trouble for bright headlights? the housings are legal, and they are 55w stock bulbs... but since they probably dont know shit about being able to take apart the light to make it brighter, can i get in trouble? or can i just say thats how it is, theyre just brighter cause theyre projectors.

well bad news fellas. i tinted them black, and damn they looked sweet during the day. but when i drove home tonight, i couldnt see shit. so im just going to take the tint off and aim them down more, if possible. and if i get pulled over, oh well... nothing i can do about it now.

if you go blue your more likely to get pulled over if the light gets an even more blue tint than it has (if you have the HIDS or bulbs) i got pulled over for lights on my car. the cop told me that any aftermarket light on your car is technicly illegel. so yes your projectors are illegel to begin with. you probably wont get in much trouble unless its the end of the month and the cop is PMSing though

haha, yea. i got ticketed for a damn corner lense. i actually got the aimed correctly. and you know all them fancy cars with the hid's having the light shining real bright right in front of their car... well, mine are brighter:D and im still using stock bulbs. and looking directly at them doesnt blind you anymore.

the headlights are illegal if you have "glare". if you cna see the whole light bulb durring the day and not just the reflection, then it's probably illegal. hids usually have an automatic level which makes them aim downwards most of the time. i personally left the bulb cover on, which i htink is what u originally cut/broke off, but i polished the inside of mine, and changed the bulb to the high beam bulbs which don't have the caps on the tip. which means if they look at my lights, the bulbs still can't be completely seen. i also cleared my lights but i think they are legal as long as i have a orange bulb as a corner light, blink orange, and have reflective material on side of the front. i've never been given a ticket for my lights, but i know alot of people who haven't been as lucky.

i dont have stock housings anymore. i think youre talking about using 9005 bulbs instead of the standard 9006. but what i have are h3 bulbs.
how the metal peice was placed, normally, you'd only see a little bit of the bulb... but mostly the indirect reflection. now that i took off the guard that was covering the top half, i basically doubled the light output. and im going to only use stock bulbs, i dont want any added attention.
ill take a pic of my heads next to my gf's sometime, see if you can tell a difference in the brightness.
