Well I just found a 1988 CRX. The body could use alot of work, the hood didn't really close all that well. So im thinking of making it a project car. I think it had the D15 engine, but not sure. Anyone got any stats on this car? Im gonna check it out tomorrow morning. Any suggestions of what to ask?

it could be one of 3 diff CRX's

Hf - 60 hp(i think) with MPFI
DX - 92 hp with DPFI
Si - 108 hp with MPFI

Well i went to look at it today and talk to the guy, he's selling it becaue of a bent vaulve, and since he lost his license it doesnt really worry him to work on it. He has the block and all the parts. So would this be a wise investment and then buy an engine? Or just let it go?

ok does it have rust? Is the body straight or has it been hit? is it hit now?any minor or major dents?

the motor part i wouldn't worry about. D15's and D16's are a dime a dozen and really cheap.

if there are little dents then its worth it, major ones then no. you can get a car with a straight body and just a blown motor for 500.

$500 project cars rule :ylsuper wish i could find a crx.

get the vin # and run it through carfax.com. even if it's been totalled....it's worth it. however, it would be nice to know what you're up against.
