alternator light

my alternator light came on a week ago and since im not much of a mechanic i just let it go.... nothin bad has happen, my car starts every time i checked the alternator belt, brushed up my battery terminals, but that annoying light wont go off. anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?????

i havent driven my car in so long, i didnt even know we had an alternator light.

it means your alt. is not charging.

NO lights came on when my car's alternator went bad. Which i am still trying to fix

dont forget to change your headlight fluid also!
