Typically when started cold the engine races then slows down, also when turning on the ac or cutting the wheels sharply at idle the isc plunger responds, increasing the idle.

Thanks so much for your help. It seems as if your the only one on these forums, lol. Now the only code my car is throwing since clearing the codes is e 30 idle speed control motor. I refered to my chilton manual and tested the motor by putting power to the terminals from my battery the plunger doesnt move everytime i put power too it its clicking. Im pretty shure its bad thats the code im getting to so I hope thats it. Im about to order the part or just buy it at the autopart store this week. I really hope this is the problem i have always had bad luck with getting cars to run right. My old caddy never let my down i hope this one the same.

If it only clicks the internal gear is bad, replace it. Not a lot of guys here with Cad backround.

Just the idle control motor is causing all of these problems i am having? Its the only code ive gotten but I had a 94 s10 blazer 4x4 that i could never get to run right. I replaced everything i was getting codes for and i was still out of luck. I just really hope it will not be the same case this time. I have knowledge of cars but im just getting into cadillacs. I got a mint condition 84 eldorado when i was 14 but i never had to work on it and it had the 4100:wink:

The isc will only affect idling, like I said any power loss is another issue.
