-Sup fellas,
pretty soon i'll be removing my entire front dash to get it re-upholstered and the plastic peices sanded/primered, then painted. But i dont know the steps to removing the entire thing. Im sure i could do it myself and figure it out.. but i always end up taking peices that dont need to come off and waste time. I was wondering if anyone knew a website w/ a how to on it, or could explain it to me. Thanks guys, and when i get to it, i'll post some pix of the finished product ! ;) :)

fellas huh? There are two girls on here also! j/k girl to the rescue..sorta
Anyway for one thing its hard to explain how to remove the dash, plus looking here in my chilton i guess its a little different for sedan, and im not a sedan owner, so all i can tell you is remove the center console first by just looking for the visible screws, then take out paneling around your cluster, take off upper panel by the two bolts on top toward front of car, and then the rest of it by the four bolts more on the inside by the actual cluster, lets see then remove vents, but be careful i guess your side vents are held by clips from underneath so hopefully you dont break those, and then the bolts that actually mount your dash there should be two on the very sides of the dash under the side defrosters, there should be one on the inside of the glove box on the right side, one in the middly where the bottom of your center console used to be, and one on the left side underneath where your fuse box is, then there should be some sterring column mounting bolts somewhere in there (i dont remember dealing with this part but then again someone was doing this with me) but from diagram they should be where u removed your gauge cluster, and then before actually physically trying to pull it out really check over and make sure you didnt miss any plugs, you dont want to break a plug, which is why you have to remove everything that serves a function because it has to connect somewhere i.e. power door switch, clock, climate control, rear defroster, cruise control etc. hope it helps if you attempt and get stuck i could always try to scan what i have from chilton but that is a pain in the ass so only if you get stuck;)

not too late to change that ... might be easier to find one of those "DX special edition" sedans with the sunroof than the si hatch / crx

thankz LuckyLisa, i'll try that out 2mar'o. Would today. But im here in G.A , and i couldnt get on til bout 10PM cuz we had bout 3 tornados touch down in my county !!! Crazy, ,reminded me of "Perfect Storm" when 2 storms combined.. but that made it go south from heading straight for me ( kennesaw ) it was crazy. The touchdowns were only bout minute each or somin.. but huge stoms, hail , etc.
So i'll try to get to that 2mar'o , providing more tornados dont pass by

Here's the 4 pages of dash removal from the manual. This is 90-91. I think the instrument pod removal may be different for 88-89.
