is it or isn't it a p11

when nissan kept winning the touring car championship they were using a p11 right? i was watching some of last years super touring and the car looks diffrent and hadn't won a race yet . It had projector beam headlights the rear was a little diffrent, and the paint scheme was diffrent. I s it still an updated p11 or is it a p12 and is it a diffrent team? i remeber the announcer saying they hadn't worked out the bugs in the car yet but all i know is that it was getting rocked by ahem......an accord?!

In which series? BTCC?

What does the paint scheme look like?

Was probably the P11-144 Model you saw.

Yep...its a P11.
Its a model from Europe and its a "face lift" of the P11

i was in portugal last year and i had seen those lights and i thought that they had redesigned the whole car because the interior also got some touch up work

Not to sure on the inside as we are yet to get them in NZ.

If you import the headlights, hood, fenders, trunk and tail lights you could do a nice conversion :)


The P11-144 is a face lifted P11 as Primeraman mentioned. It was only made available in europe. It is the Sept. 99 + model....

... And yes, the car won races, at least one. Matt Neal won the 1rst race of the 2000 BTCC, earning UK$250K as a special bonus for being the 1st independant driver winning to the factory teams a race. It was Brands Hatch i think. Amazing race, as they always were in that time (I hope those times come back, soon).

i always wanted to race cars as a young lad, how do these boys get started? I wanna win 250k for racing :finger:

does anyone have pics of the interior and are the drivetrains the same ?

Everything besides cosmetics is the same, except that some models are available with a CVT tranny. (Shift-o-matic, Step/Triptonic, shift-on-the-fly... whatever its called now adays) btw.. this is not the same tranny that comes on the JDM SR20VE, that one is the CVT-M6 ;)
