starter switch and button

finally got my starter button and put sum of my painted interior pieces back in heres sum pics

Those interior pieces are hella nice, and half a tank a gas....pretty sweet. Me and my friend are planning on doin a push start sometime, hopefully this summer, i wanna get an a/c console piece and make the a/c button the starter. Do you have to relocate the entire ignition, cuz we're were thinkin bout just runnin wires and keepin the ignition in its spot, is this doable? Thanx

yeah thats doable i relocated the ignition under my seat theres a pic in my signature.........i didnt have to do that but i wanted the button to be where the ignition thing usually is............lol and about the gas i dont kno how much i got cause i dont even have and engine in or anything and i took the cluster out.....so i might have moved it or sumthing i dunno...........

I've gotta keep my eye on this car...its gonna look SOOOOOOO sweet when its done!!!

yeah thanks i was going to do it orange but i like the sliver better plus it just adds one more color to my car here is a little switch board i just put in like 15 min ago only one switch is hooked up now for the lights i put in the A/C vents the other one is goign to be for my neons im gogin to get outside heres two pics

i didnt get to put the center vent back in yet cause when i was putting it back together i messed it up so i had to put another coat on it im waiting for it to dry
the lights are more orange in real life and they look alot better not on camera........

well damn, you got some good ideas man ! i am doing the same thing with my vents but red. And im not sure what kind of buttons yet. Im thinkin the Chrome switches that you'll find on jets and what not.. like movies w/terrorist's when they have to switch like 5 of em' do arm a bomb or somin :rolleyes: But youre doing great. I like that Push start button too. i gotta see about those.. hard to install ? I really need to start workin on interior. great job !

could you show a pic of what wires went where on you push button start and what wires go where becaue ive had this eurosport push button starter that i got for like 20 bucks and i've never put it in becaue i don't know how. a how to would be very VERY nice.

man this shit was so hard to try and explain it i was trying to tell my brother but i could explain it ill try to like think of it ill get back to you about it tomorrow its not that hard if you think about it.........you really just have to find the wire that goes to the starter(like the last stage or whatever when you turn the key all the way)and just tap into that and hook the switch up but you would have to give that power only when the key is in and turned to the second to last stage.........i dunno ill try to think of it and write it down and easier way to understand

EDIT: the push start button i bought from auto zone had instructions on the back of it i think you could look there and read that or i could take a pic of the instructions i got but the one i got came with a relay which you need i would think

yea mine has a relay too and like a white red yellow and black wire. i firgure the red goes to a power source, white to light and yellow tostarter and then black to groundbut i don't know what wires i should tap into.

Go to http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/ and find the wiring color charts for your car. It will tell you what color all those wires are. Wiring stuff is easy. Stick you auto wire stripper onto the wire press it down to expose the wire, take a pick tool and stab a hole in the copper to spread it, feed the new wire inside the hole and wrap it around the other copper parts, solder them together, than wrap it with electrical tape. Thats what I did when I installed Remote Start.
