I've had the same problem with my 94 Q for the last two years and even the dealer can't figure it out. If you ever found the answer, I'd sure like to hear it.

The brake pads must be replaced with Infinity brake pads bought from the dealer. I have used Bendix (an aftermarket brand) pads before and could not get the brake pad warning light to go off. I replaced the Bendix pads with Infinity pads and the light went off.

That sucks does that mean that we can't get aftermarket brake pads for our car without having this light problem...?

I have aftermarket pads and no light problem. The problem in my car was the front and rear sensors. Each has to form a closed electrical circuit, which becomes an open circuit when the sensors wear on the rotor. In my car, the rear sensor looked OK, but it wasn't. When I replaced both sensors, the break pad wear idiot light turned off and the trip odometer came back on. The dealer should have been able to figure this out, but didn't.
I use aftermarket ceramic brake pads I got from the Tire Rack. They seem to be lasting longer than the Nissan pads I used to use, and no squeal.

I took a look on tirerack.com. Which Ceramic pads did you use? Akebono $59, or Satisfied Pro Ceramic $63.

Akebono. I also got the Satisfieds for a different car and they seemed similar.
The Akebonos had the right hole in the pad for the pad wear sensor, but no sensor was included. I got that from my dealer, who gave it to me free as an apology for not diagnosing the problem properly. But they told me that the small, simple sensors are usually an obscenely expensive $40 each.
If I ever screw up and let the idiot light come on again before I redo the brakes, I'll look first for a replacement ceramic pad kit that includes the sensor.
