I stayed home from work today to be there when my screens showed up, and did some interior painting in the garage. The screens came in at noon, they are fu**ing tight. 7.2 Inch Widescreen LCD's with remote, 2 video inputs and an audio input for the headphone jack build in to them. I really like them. I dropped off the screens, the visors and the yellow vinyl (which he is going to re-wrap the visors in) at Car Phonics a local car audio shop. I should get them back tomorrow. Then I dropped my car off at Boise Muffler to get my DC Sports header put in. I pick the car up at 6:00 today. I just hope they can get the O2 sensor out of my stock header. I don't feel like buying a new one. Also, my 4 channel amp is in the shop because it died on me Monday, so I should be hearing from the guy today to see what's wrong with it and how much it's going to cost to fix it. Well, that's my day.

wait a minute, the o2 sensor is inside the header? Shit I got a chikara coming, hopefully I can rig all that shit up to work without getting a new o2 sensor, or maybe it comes with one. My friend with the 94 GSR put his dc sports 4-2-1 stainless on himself.

the o2 sensor is not really inside the header it just screws in the front.

Well, actually, I'm not spending a whole lot - about $500 for parts, and $200 for the install. Since I own my own business, I get some really good deals. I'm getting the screens for $140 each - ah, the benefits of owning your own business - he he

there ya go - gotcher bak 4g4d ;)

You sensor should work fine...Don't worry...your ECu will holler at you if it doesn't :bloated:

The O2 sensor simply screws into the exhaust manifold...you can probably see it if you look behind the radiator underneath the heat shield. It almost looks like a spark plug with one wire sticking out of it. The problem is that the exhaust manifold is cast iron, and generally likes to sieze things like O2 sensors in the threads. Use lots of WD-40 or Liquid Wrench or equivelant product and let it sit before trying to remove the O2 sensor. Also, spend $5 at your local Autozone and get an O2 sensor socket..it has a little slit in it for the wire...U might screw it up if you use an open end wrench. :(

I also have a Chikara header..they are made by Hedmann...one of the better known V-8 header companies, and have been around forever...and I bet it was cheap too ;)

Hey Guys, I got the new header in, but after about 5 minutes it's throwing up a check engine light, I haven't had a chance to check the code yet, but if it's the o2 sensor, why would my old one not work in the new DC Sports header? Also, doesn't anybody know where I can get a gasket for the back of the header where it connects to the cat?

What you may want to do is reset your ECU? That may clear up the check-engine light...

That gasket is usually a crush ring made out of copper or something equally soft...any automotive store or muffler shop should have one...measure the diameter of the pipe (2 1/4"??) and you should be able to pick one up.

try clearing the code first, is tyhey started the car w/out the sensor hooked up, or something like that it could be a false code.....
