I'm a newbie (this would be only my 2nd model) so please bear with me. I'm building a Tamiya 350Z and would like to paint it with Chrome Silver. The instruction booklet suggest Tamiya TS-17 (Aluminum Silver) spray can, which I understand is lacquer paint.
Questions:
1) Is there any difference in the final paintjob quality if I were to use Acrylic paint with a airbrush as opposed to the TS-17 can?
2) What would be the equivalent color to TS-17? I got Tamiya X-11 (Chrome Silver) at home.

If it's solid color, such as red or black, they shouldn't make significant difference. You can certainly airbrush x11, but the result depends on the base color and clear coat, also. Metallic color is unpredictable, so the best way is to experiment.
