what exactally does a short shifter do anyways???:confused:

they shorten the throw between shifting (hence the name) so that there is less time spent going from one gear to another. for example when your racing and you shift from 2nd to 3rd or whatever, it doesnt take you as long of a distance to move the shifter from one to another. It doesnt seem like it would help all that much but it adds up and helps out quite a bit.
