clicking noise......

wattup guys....i need to know whats been causing this clicking noise on my car. it happens whenever i release the brake real quick. if i come to a complete stop.....then let go of the brake and start driving...then i would hear the clicking noise....is it my cv?

could be. do you hear it when youre turning? i had that same problem and for a while i just thought it was the springs creeking cause they were cold. drive real slowly and turn the wheel all the way left and then right. better get them checking, you dont want them going out while youre speeding down the freeway.

to check and see if its your cv joints get under your car, look at the black boots at the end of the driveaxles. if they are cracked and/or leaking grease then it is your cv joints.

I don't want to undermind you or anything, but it isn't just the pedal springing back real fast and hitting? I had a Hyundai that made that sound.

could also be a broken motor mount, or a loose bolt in the suspension, like a radius rod.

but it would be nice if this guy would list what mods he has... and if he dicked with it before the sound started.

yep....i checked under the car and i noticed that grease is leaking out.... how much would a cv boot cost me? with labor and everything?

u have to replace the joint, meaning the whole axle since the joint is clicking. the shop i go to quoted 320$ for both axles but i ended up doing it myself, it isnt that hard. if u feel up to it hit up azone and get an axle and the haynes manual for ur car.

if its jsut one side it would be half as much... your other side is probably going too tho which means u would ahve to replace the boot or axle
