Garage Door Opener

Two questions about this damned thing...

1.) What does it run off of, and IF it's power source is either dead or blown, where in the car is the location of it so i can replace it.

2.) Is there any special way of programming it as listed in the manual. I don't have a manual so i wouldn't know.

They can be programmed to run many things other than your garage door, home security system, gates, entry doors etc.
They are made by HomeLink...
