keyed / iginiton switch wire?

hi i am adding a relay to my 99 silverado so that when i turn my truck on it will power my radar detector on at the same time. my only problem is i cant fine the wire that cames out of my key switch/ignition... any one know which color wire it is in the steering column? or any other places that has a wire that puts out a 12+ signal only when the car power is on? thanks
