does any one want mclarenf1.info?Doucette 04-13-2003, 02:04 PM I just thought of this... I own mclarenf1.info and I dropped my plans to make a McLaren F1 website, so I'll sell it to anyone who wants it. *Not looking to profit.* I have no idea if this type of posting is against AF's rules, but since I'm not looking to make money I figure it is OK. http://www.mclarenf1.info/ Peloton25 04-13-2003, 05:05 PM With a domain name like that, you almost assure yourself of a cease and desist letter from McLaren Cars. I too, am planning/developing a website to chronical the history, features and info surrounding the F1 road car, but my URL will be something quite a bit more general in nature. I still expect some negative feedback from them, as they seem to like controlling the information about these vehicles as it is presented on the web. I think that's really a shame... >8^) ER Doucette 04-13-2003, 07:34 PM Yes it is indeed a shame. I remember hearing a bad story about Dodge along the same lines. http://www.dodgeviper.com/ I think. The page loads nothing now. Let me check web archive... http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.dodgeviper.com/ ...I think it was this site. They didn't like the pics of the crashed vehicles. Appears that Dodge won the fight as the site is now offline. --- ...after checking out some old archives of dodgeviper.com, this is a rather funny version of it with a play on the words 'dodge' and 'viper': http://web.archive.org/web/20000511170720/http://www.dodgeviper.com/ Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
