Finished: Toyota Corona Exiv Tuner!

Hello modeling friends! Finished converting Tamiya's Toyota Cerumo Exiv racer to a street tuner. It was nice starting with this kit because the suspension is already lowered and I wanted a racer look. I painted it with Tamiya's new Light Pearl Blue which is a very nice color. I had to build an interior with parts from the parts box, and it's kind of rough but that's okay. I don't even know which model most of those parts came from except for the console is from a Revell '99 Mustang Cobra. It has four bucket seats instead of a rear bench type seat. The wheels are Fujimi OZ Nova's painted Testors Steel metalizer, brakes are Fujimi, rear wing is from the Aoshima GT Wing kit. As an experiment I sprayed Alclad Chrome directly on the inside of the side windows to replicate tinting, it works great, from some angles it looks totally chrome, from other angles you can see through it.

I cut a piece of aluminum tubing for the exhaust tip and put an etched Toyota emblem from Museum collection on the rear of the trunk. The TRD decals are from the Fujimi Altezza TRD kit.

Got a chance to use the new blue carbon fiber from SMS. Left the grill out and put screen in the opening.

Used Aoshima's chrome foil behind all the lights.

Beautiful! So thats what it looks like underneath all those decals. that alclad tint technique is very convincing. Looks like real 'titanium" type tint. Another excellent execution from you.

Here's one place www.truckstopmodels.com

Do a Google search, I'm sure you can find someone close to you. If there are any HobbyTown's nearby, they prolly have it.:)
