i recently bought some meguiars wax and polish. the guy at the store told me to wax and then polish. there are some directions on the back of the bottle that say to polish, then wax. i just wanna know which do i apply first, the wax or the polish?

ALWAYS polish before wax. Wax is supposed to be the top layer of sealant/protectant, so why would you put polish ontop of that? ;) I think that guy at the store either needs to go back to school, or just get a completely different job. :rolleyes: See why you can't trust shops like that? ugh!

It depends really. Most people like to wax first, to fill all the harsh spots, then they polish it last to rid any small scratches or flaws. other people do the opposite since waxes are more durable than polishes. though, again, this all depends on what product your using. if you really want a good deep shine, get a complete 3 or 4 step product, which, meguiars also offers one of those. though they are a little more time consuming, i prefer to make the extra effort. also, there is this other product, fairly new, its called "Step One". now this product is badass, very detailed, very good, and it really helps to give that deep show car shine, y'know, that paint you see that you can almost swim in it?? yeah, VERY nice. just depends on your budget and how much time you want to spend on it.

and yeah, polish then wax, or get Klasse and just polish...
