S14 cupholder

I know, it's not exactly an interesting topic, but anyone have a pic of the factory 97-98 cupholder and/or know where I can get one. I can't find anything anywhere...

Yeah, same here. According to the Nissan options list there was one available on the 97-98 S14 though. I was hoping somebody here had one so I could see if it is worth getting...

If the reason you're getting an S14 is because of the cupholders, you're getting the wrong car. Anyway the cupholders are two cubes with missing tops, it holds cans pretty well, and most McDonald's cups, but nothing too big, just as with other cupholders such as Audis.

Hahaha, that's exactly the point. No one in their right mind buys a car just because it has cupholders, but I mean c'mon. How can you not put a cupholder in a car in this day and age? Who doesn't need one at one point or another?

I bought my S14 cause I couldn't afford my BMW anymore and I wanted a cheap, reliable, comfortable, good handling, fairly new RWD car with good potential for upgrading. The 240SX is all that, and it looks great too. All it really needs is more power, and that is easy enough to remedy...

Personally, I beleive the cupholders (those empty squares) hold cups better than a 95 Maxima GLE, or a 95 Altima GXE (my parents cars). Driving fast (straight, because through turns if we all had the same cupholders they'd spill cuz of the suspension in those non-sports cars anyway) mine have never spilled, but the max and alt have quite a bit of orange pop spots from my childhood.
Also, I didn't mean to say you were buying the car exclusively for the cupholders, but my point was, if you're going to have a fast car, don't expect a little bit of plastic to hold down a liquid using the suspension, the engine, and the steering this car has:smoka:

just get this (it wont spill, ever)

from http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/xmas01.htm
For those with long commutes in frustrating stop-and-go traffic, the mother of all cup holders is now available. It's so hi-tech that it's no longer called a cup holder. The F-Series Beverage Containment System (BCS) is a must-have for anyone who likes to sip, drive and stay dry.

How can I begin to describe the Beverage Containment System? I'll let Jim Webb, inventor of the device have a go. "There is no comparable 'cup holder' that has the ability to continuously reposition itself, even in the most extreme conditions. The BCS units feature a fully articulating aluminum mounting bracket that attaches to the BCS body with stainless steel bearings and viscous fluid, so the BCS can take a jolt or a curve with grace and without spilling a drop."

These genuinely high-quality items represent the final frontier of motion-dampening, self-adjusting, 21st Century cup-holding technology. This is the kind of device the Borg would want to immediately assimilate. Prices range from US$29.95-US$149.95. See them online at bcsystems.ws, click on the item you want, and order directly. Or, phone 310-891-1550. Leave your number and they'll call back to take your details.

That is too cool!

Imagine how impressive it would be to take a turn at 90mph without spilling your drink.

"This is the kind of device the Borg would want to immediately assimilate."

Resistance is futile. I think I have to get one. :alien:
