I saw many Mercury cougar owners swapping their 2.5L engine to 3.0L duratec while still using the same 2.5 manual transmission....

Would that transmission fit in a 2000 ford taurus 3.0L duratec?

Did anyone did or thought about doing this before?

What would be needed? Tranny, clutch, flywheel, cables, shifters and pedals, do i forget anything?

What to do with the cpu?
