(the pre-thinned stuff) But i dont have it anymore and only have the glass bottles that you have to mix for yourself laying on the shelf. What mix ratios do you guys use? I've read somewhere that the instructions for mixing are not 100%. Greetz Jurgen mrawl 07-12-2009, 03:55 AM Looking good! If you nail the clear/polishing it will look amazing! Now time for decals and final clear. Greetz B16EF 07-13-2009, 06:17 PM Looks great! Nice shiny paint and i like the Black/Red White combo. (I thought my 1/20 Mini was big) KevHw 07-13-2009, 07:34 PM Wow what great results with the clear and for your first time too. Is that straight over a semi-gloss black base? I like the colour combo too. SuperMele 07-14-2009, 11:37 AM Is that straight over a semi-gloss black base? Hey, i've used zero jet black paint. It drys flat... SuperMele 07-14-2009, 02:18 PM Thanks guys! Decals are on, also sanded out some dust. Here and there are some dull spots due to sanding but they will disapear during final clear coat. Thanks, yes its just a dry brush with tamiya flat aluminium acrylics paint KevHw 07-16-2009, 07:10 PM Nice job. You know when you've painted a car black well, when it starts to look like chrome :p Didn't think just applying clear over jet black would give such good results. But then I don't know how many clear layers you've put on. SuperMele 07-17-2009, 02:25 AM But then I don't know how many clear layers you've put on. Hey KevHw, i've just put on 3 mist coats and 2 wet coats... Greetz da_ashman 07-22-2009, 08:18 PM Thats Really looking awesome, hey quick question, what is the phyical size of the rims & tires? Im considering this kit & some wheels for it, but want to know if theyll match. Cheers MidMazar 07-22-2009, 11:41 PM Looking good. AustinMartin 07-22-2009, 11:51 PM What did you use to strip the chrome? KevHw 07-23-2009, 02:28 AM Love the progress you've made. One thing I noticed though is that your chrome looks a bit dulled/grainy even though you had a glossy base. Did you apply it quite heavily/a few layers? I always use extremely light coats which gives me a good reflection but only when looking from certain angles . LeeABC 07-23-2009, 05:58 AM Paint looks great and I particularly like the wheels........so what did you use to strip the chrome? Cheers, Lee SuperMele 07-23-2009, 09:41 AM Thats Really looking awesome, hey quick question, what is the phyical size of the rims & tires?
