95 lt1 roller rocker arms

i had the roller rockers on my old cast iron head lt1 i just put a new aluminum head z28 lt1 into my caprice and i tryed to put my comp cam roller rockers on it and they slip off the tip of the valve and right onto the spring ive tryed to a just them but it dont help any one have this problem any help would be good they never sliped off like that on the cast head motor

Can you post a picture of the rockers?

I wonder if you used the WRONG non-SA rockers but the tight slots on the iron heads allowed it to function.

If that is the case you will need guideplates and new studs.

You know stock for stock the aluminum heads are NOT an upgrade?

Can you flip one over or take a profile shot?

What I am looking for is tab that would hold the roller tip on the valve.
Some brands use a washer on either side of the roller tip but Comp ProMagnums have a tab.
I tried to find a picture of what SA ProMagnums look like but no luck finding one.

well i called comp cam they said i need guide plates for these rockers i did not know that.

Should be said that Comp guideplates do NOT fit properly. LT1 valve spacing is a little different. Seems like the best "budget" solution is Trickflow. I went a step further with Isky adjustable.
