Ford F-250 A/C Blowing MistRuff09 07-03-2009, 12:45 AM Truck A/C blowing mist out vents, what can cause this? Thanks for any ansers!!!! 2000 Gas Davescort97 07-03-2009, 01:42 AM Welcome to the forum. With the A/C running check under the truck to see if there is a puddle of water. The water that condenses on the cooling coils (evaporator) inside the heater A/C box is building up inside the housing and blowing out your vents. Straighten out a coat hanger and clean out the plugged line going to the bottom of the truck. Jack it up and look directly under where the heater A/C housing is. Usually it is just in back of the firewall. Ruff09 07-03-2009, 01:53 AM Thank-You For your time and effort. I will do this first chance I get!!!! Believer45 07-18-2009, 09:25 PM Do you get a kind of sweet smell in the cab when running the defroster and heater? If so it indicates a leaking heater core. This causes high moisture content in the air coming out the vents with antifreeze making the mist on the inside of the windows feel oily and slick.
