is it possible to install a overdrive shutoff in the transmission. it seems to me that if we could find the right servo we could wire in a power switch. does any one have any thought or experiance with this?

Correct me if I am wrong, but selecting the "3" on the gear shifter in essence turns off the 4th gear (overdrive), does it not?

With a wiring diagram you could cut the proper wire to the trans and install a switch to do this, or 3rd as stated, but why? Or do you mean the lock up convertor?

It should start in first gear when the selector is in 3 and then shift into second and then third

Why not just use 3 gear position on gear shift?
