Exhast pipe replacement

The pipe that goes between the manifold and converter on my 98 4 cyl s-10 needs replacing.
The converter bolts are easy, but what about the 3 bolts to the manifold?
Looks like I'm screwed if one breaks.

Re: Exhast pipe replacement

Might be best to let a muffler/exhaust shop do it for you.

If you break them it is a bear of a job.

Exhaust work is something you really should'nt do if you don't have a set of torches. You will just make an easy repair a major pain in the ass for all involved. With a torch you heat everything up till it's red hot and unscrew things, without one you just break all the studs off and end up dicking around with drills and easyouts which hardly ever work or replacing the manifold.
